Hi, Anyone else having a real struggle to log in to the forums since the 'improvements' to the website? I keep getting redirected and in a loop of new browser windows etc. I guess by the lack of posts that this may well be the case - shout up if you are not here!!! Stuart

Hi Stuie Can I firstly apologise for the ongoing issues with the website and the forums. We are working hard with our Partners to resolve all issues and we have some unexpected challenges that we are working on. If you can try clearing the cache (your temporary internet files / browsing history) and hopefully this will resolve the issue. Again apologies to you and all other forum users for this prolonged interruption to service Time to plug back in and tackle the next gremlin… Kind regards Craig IOSH Edited by user 28 November 2013 19:35:35(UTC)

There are some problems I think. I get a login page that is not associated with the forums, and it won't accept my email, only my screen name. When I have put in my name and password it takes me to the Home page instead of the forums.

I got in the same way as Jane, I don't know the email and password route, so its good for me. The discussion forum page no longer has a log in option.
Guess they are still working on it.
The bit reminding me I have not paid seems to work :o(
IOSH have their priorities right.

Hi all I’ll get all behaviours of login pages checked tomorrow and the issue once identified logged. If you come across the login page with the issues please send the URL to webhelp@iosh.co.uk. Logout should be displayed just below your screen name in the top right hand corner, if this isn’t the case please could you send details (including the browser you are using) to webhelp@iosh.co.ukMany thanks for your continued support Craig

All very amateurish - who is paying for this fiasco? Jon

Thank you Craig. the screen name issue is important as I am sure there are plenty of people who do not know what their screen name is. These are likely to be the group of people who survived the last web page changes in 2009, where the screen names got changed arbitrarily by the 'system' to fairly random things.

I was not able to get in for a couple of days but ok now, The log in/out on the discussion page would be helpful. I don't think the disparaging comments in an earlier post are particularly constructive or warranted. I am sure you will get it all sorted in due course Craig.

It's not the end of my world however, some of us will remember that the last time that IOSH did a similar update, there were also significant problems. They don't seem to have learnt.
Surely it's not beyond the wit of their 'provider' to test or parallel run this before hand.
I would be embarrassed!
As for who is paying? I wold assume the fee paying IOSH members!

I had the same problem as others this morning; very slow to load & when asked for my e-mail address, it was rejected, but writing in my screen name instead + the usual password got me in!

I can only seem to log-in via the main IOSH page. There is a link to allow me to log-in to the forums using my user name and password, but it just loops back to the main IOSH page. Frustrating.
Also, last couple of the days the site seems to freeze with a nice hourglass - ended up just closing down the browser and getting on with my work.
Something needs to be donew to improve matters ....

Things may be affected by the version of IE Explorer you run, or you may need to enable cookies - apparently.

Yeah - the discussion pages MUST have a log in / log out function. My E Mail Address is NOT the forum name I use on the forum....And this is not just whinging about change. I do not want to use my (very long) E Mail address every time I Log in. Is it the same IT 'consultants' who have arranged this change?
Very poor.
Must do better

Just realised the thread title IS still visible..... Now, how do I get out of here?

Steve - it took me a while to spot the thread title when I used the 'post reply' button - it is hidden in the breadcrumbs.
The login won't accept my email anyway, which is bizarre.
What is more scary is that MYIOSH has disappeared for my login. I get the 'page not found' error.

No thread title visible on this reply.. Log-in was via an email/password combination, that accepted a username/password combination but not email/password. I disabled all browser protection and no change. System: Desktop/Linux OS/Firefox 3.6.24

I had no problems at all - and other than the work taking far longer than the message stated it would had no concerns
Google Chrome on windows 7
To be fair a developer should have tested using using the most common products and if people have problems with for example XP and early versions of IE then that would seem poor, as whilst they may be old I would guess they still have a significant market share. Whilst I applaud use of linux and firefox then certainly if I was a developer I think I would specify what I was designing for and there will undoubtedly be some software that is out of that definition.
I doubt in a B2B envi

That is not the problem -m use vanilla Windows 7 Professional and Internet Explorer 8 - both very standard programmes.

You are not alone. I cannot get MyIOSH any more either, and the site tends to grind to a halt at intervals. I have notified the webteam of my problems with MyIOSH.

Really? But firefox is only a few percentage points lower than IE in the browser-usage stats. The most widely used OS is Windows XP, and the OS has nowt to do with the site display or operation.. Chrome is the most popular browser. I prefer Linux because I have not the time to pee-about with antivirus junk..and it starts in under a minute from boot..and itś free! My other d/top runs XP, bought new and legitimate, and after 6 years MS has still not activated it. That´s efficiency for you.

Tried 5 times today with varying degrees of failure.
Slow, cumbersome and eventual lock out.
A shambles and an embarrassment I guess.
Why not review their contract and get shut of them for incompetence?

Yes, heaven forbid that the big wide world would see that IOSH ever has problems eh Ciaran! First time I've managed to get on the forum since this upgrade. Shambolic springs to mind.

Why? There are a number of forum members who are not IOSH members and the forum problems affect them as well!

Give them a break they are after all trusted partners - whoever "they" may be.
Seriously it does seem to be improving, you don't have half a dozen windows open at the same time anymore.
