I am an EH&S Manager working for a company in the automotive manufacturing sector. We have recently opened a new facility and are looking to implement operational systems there that would make it “best in class”. As part of this I am looking for new ideas that would help us improve our EH&S culture. At present we are very production orientated business which leaves EH&S somewhere down the list of priorities. Does anyone have any suggestions/ideas they are willing to share?

I would suggest checking the HSE website and read up on PLAN DO CHECK ACT whilst setting up a new operational system and provided you have the key management supporting your positive EHS culture. From the production side, cost is a priority and using the S M A R T TOOL can help you to find the balance between HSE and cost. (My opinion)

Thanks for the replies. What I really need are actual live examples of some improvement activities that has been introduced to workplace and how effective they have been.
