Hi
I'm currently in the middle of drafting our document retention policy for GDPR and would appreciate any comments regarding record retetion periods for copies of employee hearing tests?
Thanks

I'm not an expert on GDPR but a claim for Noise Induced Hearing Loss could be made anywhere within 3 years from the date of knowledge, and that date could be long after any actual workplace exposure occurs. Based on that I would say there's a reasonable justification for long-term retention of, at the very least, the most recent hearing test.

The usual retention period for health related records is 40 years.

yes 40 years from last entry which will likely be at the end of their employment.
