My main tips would be to thoroughly research the company to make sure you have an understanding of their values and how they operate; during the interview tailor your answers to show that you are thinking 'their way' (but keep your individuality in there too!); if you're asked anything that you're not certain of the answer, don't bluff but give your best answer and say where you would obtain further information - I don't think anyone want to hire a safety officer who will just guess at answers (competency is knowing what you don't know as well as what you do know after all).
