Judging by the title of your post you are looking at an environmental rather than a H&S risk assessment. In that case you would be looking at impacts on the environment based on the source - pathway- target model. What is the source of possible pollution, what does it impact upon and how does it get there. To help any further you would need to supply details of the area that you are assessing and possible processes that may occur in and around the area.

When carrying out environmental impact assessments you need to be looking at all potential impacts on the environment, including noise & dust nuisances, accidental spread of invasive species e.g. Japanese Knotweed, disturbance of animals, birds, amphibians e.g. bats, bird nests, Great Crested Newts, as well as the more obvious spillages of fuels, oils etc from tools. You will also have to think about the waste hierarchy with respect to the disposal of any waste.
The list goes on, good luck with it.
Normal is cutting, etc, abnormal will be re-fueling chainsaws etc, emergency would be tool on fire, or leaking fuel.
