Hello and apologies if this has been covered already.
Is hard landscaping i.e. patios, small walls, driveways etc at a domestic property now subject to CDM 15?
Thanks

Sounds like construction to me. How many other contractors might you be working with at anyone time?

According to the definition in Regulation 2. CDM 2105 all the activities you have described would fall within the ambit of the regs. CDM 2015 also includes all domestic construction work, albeit the duties for the domestic client fall to the contractor(s).

Hi Simon

These would be covered by CDM 2015. Here is a link to the CITB site that might help, and an app for builders.

Thanks for that, it was a query from a landscaper friend. I will let him know.

It was already covered by previous iterations of CDM. This isn't new. CDM applies (to a greater or lesser extent) to ALL construction work.
