Apply as soon as possible - a friend applied in May - in November the embassy told her that they were processing the January applications

Not being funny - but why not contact Australia House direct rather than the IOSH website - they may be able to provide accurate information straight from the horse's mouth, as it were.

I've dealt with them on a number of occasions and always found them to be most helpful and responsive.

Try http://www.uk.embassy.go...Visas_and_Migration.html

Martin,

Have you had you qualifications assessed by the relevant body yet? (usually vetassess). If not you should be aware that this alone can take several weeks to several months. Note that the NEBOSH dip & PgDip are NOT acceptable, only a degree or masters! (crazy I know).

If you do a search of this forum you will find loads of info on the difficulties faced when wanting to migrate to Oz and in particular the qualifications assessment.

Another website worth checking is www.immi.gov.au if you already haven't done so.

Anyway best of luck,

Paul

PS I managed to get accepted through a quite convoluted route, if you wish to chat email me direct.
