Posted By Steve Hickey Please could someone help me out? I’m looking some examples of method statements for different types of scaffolding. I’ve searched around the net looking for some examples but cannot find any. Maybe someone could point me in the right direction Thanks in anticipation Steve

Posted By Martin Daly What I think you are looking for are the manufacturers instructions for the safe use of their scaffolding. Your scaffolding supplier should be ably to supply you with these. The standard for system modular scaffolding etc is HD 1000. The standard for tube and fittings is BS5973. yours Martin Daly

Posted By Robert K Lewis Don't forget also that SG 4.00 is the Code of Practice for erection of scaffold. The best methods are likely to define the specific hazards that are being dealt with together with an identification of the standards applicable. Loading Bays are always going to be a specific design item and will depend upon the precise loadings to be applied. You should have drawings and sight of the underlying design calculations before erection. Bobb
