Does anyone have any info on new requirements to fit an interlock to commercial gas cooking equipment which ensures that the extractor is switched on before the gas can be supplied to the appliance?

Thanks,

Eric

Thanks both for the responses. I have the CORGI guidance note on the new British Standard BS6173:2001 which requires gas appliances in commercial kitchens to be interlocked with the ventilation system in terms of make-up air and extraction.

Unfortunately, HSE does not have a gas specialist in the same way as they have electrical specialists.

Thanks,

Eric
