Posted By Marie Dolman Does anyone know of a supplier of heat resistant gloves (for removing product after going through a flow solder machine) that caters for women ie. sizes 6, 7 or 8? Most suppliers of welding / heat resistant style gloves seem to only make them in size 10!! Thanks for your help. Marie.

Posted By Robert K Lewis Marie I am afraid this is often the case when manufacturers see an item as having limited markets, are specialised and are therefore costly to manufacture in different sizes in order to recoup the cost. I have seen £25 per glove, not pair, for an anti-vibration glove which is sized. I've not had experience of furnace gloves for some years, 24 to be precise, and they were politely called unisize in those days. Bob

Posted By Steve D. Clarke Marie, The very same problem arose at my workplace a few years ago. As I remember it I used J.K. Ross, Safety House, Kerfoot Street, Warrington, Cheshire WA2 8NU, Tel 01925 419941. They produced made-to-measure PPE at a reasonable price, I think I had to order a minimum of 10 pairs of heat resistant gloves. I'm not sure if the company is still operating but might be worth trying. regards Steve

Posted By Paul Leadbetter Marie I have recently bought a pair of Nomex oven gloves from Lakeland which are suitable for use at temperatures up to 300ºC. Paul

Posted By Merv Newman Marie, Nomex gloves are very good, but only for dry heat. Steam goes straight through them. They are expensive, but for light use, such as yours seems to be, they last well Best regards Merv Newman
