Posted By Lesley McDonald Can a HSE Inspector make an inspection of work premises after an anonymous phonecall to say a trespasser has fallen from a roof -and which was not reported . Can you point me to any relevant legislation for this ? Also if the Inspector is injured during his Inspection by machinery can he legally submit an Improvement notice to the afore mentioned Company ? (This is all theoretical by the way before anyone starts to worry... ) Lesley

Posted By Peter Lee Don't forget Local Authority Enforcement Officers and EHO's have the same Section 20 powers as HSE Inspectors.
