Posted By Dave Westhead Arran, Here are a couple of good sites https://secure.fsoa.co.uk/ and http://www.flaweb.org.uk/ you could also contact your local council, they should have someone who deals with special events including crowd control. Try and obtain a copy of the guide to safety at football grounds (the Green Guide). Dave

Posted By Tony Birchall I do have a business card from Liverpool Football Club. The contact is Ken Lewis. He may point you in the right direction at least, although may be reluctant to talk direct. e-mail ken.lewis@liverpoolfc.tv Just out of interest, although I hate to admit it, Man Utd offer brilliant tours that cover health and safety. I don't have contact details but it's a brilliant insight and example of succesful health and safety which has been improved significantly. These safety characters in football seem to know each other well.

Posted By Ken Taylor Presumably you have HSG154 and HSG195, Arran. In my local government days, we dealt with this within the Health and Safety unit of an Environmental Health department both for licensed events and unlicensed ones on Council property - the Anti-Poll Tax march being the most memorable. Consultation with the police was, of course, often required. The suggestions to contact the local authority offered above would seem to be a good starting point.

Posted By Arran Linton - Smith I wish to thank everybody who has responded to this thread. I have certainly learnt a lot about this subject in such a short time, which is down to the power of networking via this forum.
