There is no evidence of pests therefore we are presuming that it is cable bug. Posted By Karen Todd Cathy, There was an article about this in a magazine called Tips & Advice: Health & Safety (published by Indicator) - Issue 10 17th February 2003. As well as the measures you have tried, it also suggested buying a humidifier, opening windows, placing anti-static mats in front of photocopiers and communal printers, spraying carpets with water after hours (being careful of electrical equipment!), and apparently you can also buy an anti-static spray from an office supplier.
