Posted By PJR I am currently trying to put a case together to support an argument for increased pay for safety advisers across the LA that I work in. Could anyone help by letting me have any feedback on their experience, whether they were successful or where they have successfully increased pay rates by any means. I would also be interested in discussions with anyone who has joint responsibility for H&S and Occ Health in relation to grades etc.

Posted By Mike Miller I am an LA employee. The HR safety officers in our authority are graded from PO 3-4 for a safety coordinator SO1-2 for safety adviser & planning supervisor and the safety manager who is on apprx. PO 16 On what basis are you looking to get regraded? You can only claim a regrading for extra responsability and not extra work load. Also with the introduction of single status your job should/will be reviewed anyway. Correct me if I am wrong!! Mike

Posted By Steve Wood ..... AND, aren't death/accident rates exactly that - rates measured against hours worked, so reduced workers are automatically taken into account?
