Posted By Ciaran McAleenan Liam F9 is a form of notice that an employer gives to the health and safety executive in UK that occupy or intend to occupy a factory. It is a requirement under the Factories Act. Copy available at https://www.hse.gov.uk/forms/notification/f9.pdf The equivalent for offices shops and railway premises is OSR1, found at; https://www.hse.gov.uk/forms/notification/osr1.pdf North of Ireland There is a similar requirement in the North of Ireland under the Factories Act (NI) it is called NI9 copy available at; http://www.hseni.gov.uk/pdfs/NI9.pdf I haven't head or been able to find whether there are equivalent requirements in the south of the island. Posted By Liam Nolan Hi, I have never come across a requirement for the occupation of shop premsis like that. The only thing similar is an IR1 form which is used only for a construction site where construction will last over 30 days or 500 man days etc., this of course would not apply to the original poster unless it is a new shop under construction. Even then it would be the PSCS that would notify the HSA. Regards, Liam
