Can anyone give an indication of charging fees for COSHH assessments ?
Currently lining up some work & will soon have to provide a breakdown of costs.
Obviously don't want to come in too low or high. So really need some kind of indication for starting costs.
Any guidance would be greatly appreaciated, Mark

Give a day rate - half day rate if possible - rather than an hourly rate. They are paying for your expertise not for the cost of the paper / the equipment you are using -
Think about the responsibility you are taking on - note the practitioner who was fined 4K for a poor risk asessment!
Look at the average mechanics chargeout rate - not cheap are they -
Generally I find that H&S pratitioners do not charge enough. I was getting as much in the late 1970's as some people appear to be getting today!?
