PUWER ~ what is work equipment?

Posted By Delwynne Yes if they are provided by the company for the use of the employee when at work then they are work equipment and should be maintained and fit for purpose. (In my opinion)

Posted By Lorraine Shuker Thanks ~ there are some really wobbly desks in use here and so I was wondering under what regs can I push for them to be repaired or replaced. Do you think PUWER is best?

Posted By Delwynne If you have to go for a 'regulation' in order to achieve what you need then I would suggest PUWER is a pretty good one for just about anything!

Posted By Lorraine Shuker Yes I am ploughing through the assessments and some of the workstations are in a shocking state. Unfortunately money is tight and I have to use non-compliance to regulations to get any action taken on anything at the moment.
