Posted By Rob T Hi Martin, Unfortunately I didn't see any messages after my last posting so I'm not quite sure why this has been removed. As some people know I occasionally support Jeremy with some (I repeat some) of his comments and as such I am, to quote Katherine Tate, "not bovvered" about comments directed at me, so if there were some negative comments about me please don't worry on my behalf. I would however like to say, as someone who worked in the media for 8 years, when you set yourself up on TV or the press, on a controversial stance, you expect to be a target for negative responses and actually thrive on some of them. I am absolutely sure that, within reason, Jeremy wouldn't give a stuff about comments directed at him. In our profession, Jeremy has set himself up as the anti-christ and as such should be a subject of some lively debate. If some of the comments went way over the top then surely just those should be removed. With respect for your decision to remove the link, but with those provisos above, Regards Rob Todd

It's not members of what you call 'this proffession was full of people who give themselves their own bad rep' who could land the IOSH in litigation but others who talk with forked tongue. Having worked for several years in the loosely-controlled 'PR' environments similar to this website, I've some painrul experience of the time-wasting unproductive wrangling that folk who wish the profession no good are apt to enjoy. That's why in this instance, I support the censorship which I would often object to as much as you do.

If he does agree to come then I will attend (never have done before) AND I will wear my conker button-hole. Merv Actually, I think I agree with Rob T. If you stand up in public, as most of us do from time to time, if only "in a training situation" you invite, in fact you NEED reactions, positive or negative, from the people you are speaking to. A shtum audience is no good to anyone. JC is most definitely on OUR side of the fence. Great bloke.
