Posted By Jerry Lucey Hi Peter, I think the simple answer here is that Scaffold needs to be erected by a competent/ trained scaffolder and is subject to a specific inspection regime where the scaffold is inspected by a competent person who has attended a prescribed course. There is a Code of Practice governing the erection and management of scaffolding which should be observed. Hope this answers your question.
