Yes you can develop these overarching assessments but they will be for key standard risks for the project. You would thus look at overall asessments for such as: Scaffold manqagement Traffic routes and control Deliveries Use of plant etc etc These then need to be backed up by individual assessments that are abbreviated because of the base assessments already done. In essence it would be the PC setting up the standardised material with other conntractors incorporating it into their local assessments. There is nothing wrong with this, and I would recommend you continue to do so. Consider Starting the process of assessing risk by looking at the tasks you perform within a given area. You should have assessments for all of these tasks and where plant and equipment is used have a management system for identifying and recording suitable assessments, which you can cross reference within the task. I know this may seem a little bit "over the top" for the SME to comprehend, never the less in this liabilous world in which we now find ourselves any evident that supports "reasonably practicable" is worth endorsing.
