Back in July 05 the Home Affairs and Work & Pensions Committees announced an inquiry...
Where is it presently? Does anyone know?

The Corporate Manslaughter Bill It is still a Draft Bill and still highly unlikely to become law, not that it will make much difference if it ever does get on to the statute books.
As far as I am aware, the inquiry is still "consulting".
Regards.

I was under the impression that the consultation process was to be complete by the end of June and that proposed changes would be out shortly after.
I suppose when all is said and done, this bill, if it ever arrives, is going to be a much watered down affair than what was ever intended.

No doubt there will be an enquiry into what happened to the enquiry. The consultation will focus on an investigation as to why there had to be an enquiry into the enquiry. By the time they get this information together they will have again run out of time to get the Draft Bill into the Bill required to go for approval during this current Government Office. This will delay the whole process so long that there will then need to be another enquiry, 'and so the boat goes round the buoy again.'

Just read - in an Ad for their CM Conference - in RoSPA Journal: "The Home Office is expected to introduce its new Bill by the end of the current parliamentary session this month".
Hmmmm...
