HI All,
Wondered if anyone could help, I`ve been roped into assisting/taking part in a Charity Marathon Cycle event.
Looking to cover all my bases on a H/S front, such as risk assessment, how many first aiders and I`m sure the list is endless, any help on this one would be greatly appreciated.

Try talking to a local cycling club - they may be able to give some advice

As a very serious cyclist, my first port of call is always the CTC.

Would just add to Arran's very excellent advice; in case you're not familiar with them Will, this is the Cyclists Touring Club, the biggest cycling association in the UK, and you can find them on www.ctc.org.uk,

You might find "The good practice safety guide for small and sporting events taking place on the highway, roads and public places" useful. Its a home office publication.
Don't have a web address where you can download it but will email it to you.
