Posted By Brian Kane Given that we are not living in victorian times and we don't send young boys down the mines anymore. Is there an actual age limit for mine workers/young persons. If so, is the length of time young persons can spend down a mine governed by their age?

Posted By Ian D. 16 to work underground 18 to work on the Coal face Normal retirement age applies Regulations brought out in the late 1990, paved the way for women to work underground as long as this did not take up the largest proportion of their shift (i.e Surveyors etc)
