I would be grateful if anybody could tell me the principal Fire Safety statute(s) for the Republic of Ireland.I haven't had much luck with google. I need to know whether Ireland has a Fire Certificate system, or as I suspect this has been replaced by Fire Risk Assessment.

I would also like to know if any Institutions would be exempt from such requirements.

Thanks

Russ

Hi Russell,

The new General Application Regulations 2007 contain some info about Fire RA's, also check out the Fire Services Act 1981.

Russel,

Look at Part B of the Building Regulations 2000.

This is very similiar to the UK Regs. If you can't get it yourself, please email me directly and i will forward you a copy.

Regards,

Dave
