Posted By N Goodwin I have been asked by my employers to create a checklist for the visual inspections of simple lifting equipment (not FLT's, cranes or hoists) and identify the requirement of a competent in-house person to carry out these inspections. 1. Does anyone have such a checklist? 2. What level of competency should I be recommending for this level of inspection? I'm aware of the general requirements for a competent person but these machines are simple pneumatic tables to lift and lower products. 3. Does anyone know of any training courses for inspection of lifting equipment?

Posted By Robert S Woods I have just (literally)been looking for a similar course. Dewsbury Lifting Services, based in Leeds, have sorted me out. Give them a Google for contact details.
