A spillage of floculant powder folowing vadalisam of a wagon, resulted in a 8 hour road closure.

The road was closed to allow a thorough clean up as the powder becomes slippery when wet.
The police were informed and involved with the road closure.

A fellow advisor has informed me that because the road was closed for over 3 hours, that this matter now becomes reportable. I am not able to contact the person who informed me of this and can find no information relating to such a requirement.

Has anyone out there dealt with this issue before? Any information would be appreciated.

Talk to your local council highways department (or the Highways Agency if it was a motorway) - they'll be able to give you the info you need.
