To clarify the licensing criteria to deliver the different levels of employee health and safety training are as follows:
For Managing Safely and Working Safely courses trainers need to have:
1. A Qualifications and Curriculum Authority recognised health and safety qualification at national level 3 (such as the NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent).
2. Two years' training delivery experience of which at least 50% of the time was spent delivering courses face to face.
3. Attended an IOSH familiarisation training session.
4. The organisation will need to have an IOSH member at a minimum of Affiliate level to work with IOSH's training quality control team in overseeing the courses.
For Directing Safely trainers need to have:
1. CMIOSH level of membership of IOSH.
2. Provide three references from companies with up to 250 employees.
3. Attended an IOSH familiarisation training session.
4. The organisation will need to have a CMIOSH to work with IOSH's training quality control team in overseeing the courses.
For Safety for Senior Executives trainers need to have:
1. CMIOSH level of membership of IOSH.
2. Provide three references from companies with 250 employees or more.
3. Attended an IOSH familiarisation training session.
4. The organisation will need to have a CMIOSH to work with IOSH's training quality control team in overseeing the courses.
NB: the requirement to have an IOSH member to oversee the courses could be one person fulfilling both roles (trainer and IOSH member) or two people depending on the availability of suitably qualified people witin the organisation.
Various fees relate to both the purchase of either our packaged course or for having your own course approved to IOSH standards and the delivery of the courses.
