Does anyone have any experience or knowledge of H&S/Employment law in the Czech Republic.

I am trying to get clarification as to whether the requirement of Czech law for workplace inspections by a labour hygienist is placed on the employer or the provider of the workplace.

Grateful for any thoughts.

Thanks

I did some research for a client a while back on the implementation of the European Directives in member countries.

I can't give you a definitive answer but I found that as most of the work-related legislation in the Balkan and ex-Eastern European states was labour/union driven, the requirements were mostly on the employer.

Here are a couple of links which may be of help:
http://cz.osha.europa.eu...ation/files/309_2006.pdf
http://cz.osha.europa.eu...on/files/labour_code.pdf

Also, the european safety site (OSHA) and Lexadin are a good source of laws

I hope that helps,

J
