This should ease any fears for anyone who genuinely falls foul of the regs. http://www.shponline.co....il-riddor-irregularities Its hardly going to be in the public interest to prosecute for non compliance if somebody fails to inform you of their bad back and subsequent absence !!!

Slightly tangential but now is the time to comment on the new RIDDOR proposals using the IOSH website. All the anomallies that are regularly featured on these forums could be mentioned. So comment now and if nothing is done then we can all whinge legitimately that our views were not condidered. Take Care

It maybe just me, but how could you have been prosecuted for not reporting something you knew nothing about anyway.

quote=ahoskins]smitch, What forum does your link link to? I cannot access it even though I am currently logged on... Alan The thread is on the Discussions forum and is titled: Accident and incident reporting rates; the originator being RayRapp. Apologies to all for any confusion caused, tried link myself and was informed I needed to be logged on (even though I clearly was) smitch

Because this subject has failed to take flight (and also duplicates aspects of two other current topics) I am now locking it. Feel free to continue the discussion on either this Topic on "Accident and incident reporting rates" by RayRapp: http://forum.iosh.co.uk/...aspx?g=posts&t=99167 or this Topic on "HSE Statistics Vs Labour Force Survey" by Fretwell38988: http://forum.iosh.co.uk/...aspx?g=posts&t=99160 Jon
