People on an assembly line are asking for lumbar support belts, is this a good idea?

Lumbar support belts - Abdominal and back support belts are not recommended control measures as their effectiveness is questionable – see L23 para 186-7 for details.
The task needs proper assessment and controls, PPE is a last resort and lumbar supports are not covered by the PPE directive
