Is my understanding correct, to ensure - Identify all pressure equipment and assemblies at site with a maximum allowable pressure PS >0.5 bar.
- Ensure that each system has a written scheme of examination (usually completed by insurance Allianz for example)
- Adhere to the written scheme
- Act on the reports sent through by the competent person (Allianz for example)
- Inform the competent person (Allianz) of any new equipment installations on site so they can give it a written scheme and register it
- Repeat
Failure to do so would mean breaking the law I know that is a high high high level overview

That is pretty much the "flow chart" I follow. Same as I do with LOLER, LEV and some PUWER inspections.

Unless the system contains Steam (e.g cafe coffe machine) then it applies imediatly reguradless of pressure and volume!

You also need to complete a DSEAR assessment for pressure systems. Even if the relevant fluid isn't flammable. DSEAR also coveres pressurised gases and substances that may be corrosive to metals.
