I needed some guidance on whether a Through examination and inspection is required under LOLER for an internal Pulley system that supports a machine unit in a Solaflex Printer machine?

If it is only used to support it and never to move it up and down, then technically no.

But consider the consequences if it fails.  That *might* lead you to want to get it inspected as lifting equipment anyway.

In the machine - PUWER

This would apply to "tensioner rolls" which can move up/down or arc

Handling equipment for servicing raw materials e.g. substrate rolls to the unwind stands - LOLER
