Posted By Andy Brazier Prices vary quite a lot. When I got mine done 2 years ago I think the cheapest were in the £60-70 region, but in some places it was double. It seemed that areas of the country near offshore training centres had most places offering medicals, which created competition and so brought the price down. This certainly seemed to be the case around Hull.

Posted By scott gerty thank you to all for you response, I have checked out the links provided by you although I am still unclear if I am able to take a medical by a local GP or if it must be opito/ukoa approved.

Posted By scott gerty Descarte, thankyou for your input, you have been most helpfull. I currently live in South Yorkshire and am struggling to find anywhere that provides the offshore medical. Do you know of any links or any such provider possibly in Hull that may be able to help me? Scott Gerty.

Posted By scott gerty Descarte, the list of ukooa registerd medical certificate providers was most useful. I have managed to get through to a couple of them and have been quoted around £80. thank you, Scott Gerty.
