Hi
Please help !!!
Background information: two standard height portacabins, one on top of the other.
At present there is a steel staircase that has 12 risers and in my opinion is to steep.
There is a small landing at the top of the staircase before you enter the protacabin.
I cannot find any information on the internet that specifies the number of stairs required.
I contacted a company who deals in portacabins and the number of external stairs for a standard portacabin is 19 so before I go back to the Company Directors I need facts.
Thanks
Eric

The Engineering Equipment and Materials Users Association (EEMUA) guide 105 Factory stairways, ladders and handrails is one design standard.
There is also a British Standard if you Google you should find it. Probably BS14122.
Risers are generally 165mm Going 275mm Pitch 31° to 38° from the horizontal
Building Regs Document K also covers steps etc
