Could anyone tell me if it acceptable on a work site shared by two employers for one
employer to rely on the others trained first aiders.
Thanks

The answer to your question is YES.
However, both employers need to communicate with each other to ensure that the first-aid provsions in place are suitable and adequate to cover the identified risks for both sets of employees.
Furthermore, provision needs to be in place at all times and first-aid cover should be in place for annual leave, sickness leave etc.
It is also recommended that were facilities are shared that both employers enter into a written agreement so as to avoid any misunderstandings.
Lastly, the above information with regards to first-aid provsions must be communicated to both sets of employees.
Hope this helps.
