I know the forum hasnt been as busy since the change over, but i find it very surprising that nobody has posted a comment or a new thread since yesterday afternoon?
Unless there is a problem with the system, and i am wasting my time writing this!!!

Hally, it is snowing in town, you might be better off getting the train into Moorfields. Not often the snow settles by the Albert Dock, but it is today. Hope you feel better and your christmas party goes well.
Everyone else, Sorry, as soon as i posted my comment, my computer sprung to life!! Sincere apologies for thinking you were all dead!!

Sean, got the train from Moorfields this morning. Had a lovely show of electricity induced flashing from the trains third rail, brightened the gloom up a bit.

Hi Sean
I am here but it seems there is only you and me!
Got nothing to post as I am still waiting responses from my last post a few days ago, but then again if no ones here than no one will respond will they?

It would probably be much easier to ask everyone who isn't here to raise their hand (great way to do a roll call)! ;-)

Was about to ask the same question on internal e-mail as i thought I had missed a message about everybody going home. Very quiet from the cold icy Scottish Borders

Maybe no-ones posting because there are very few intelligent subjects. The forum appears to have lost something since it relaunch.
Anyway i am here but hopefully not for much longer. Hope the snow continues as I might take the kids sledging at Camp Hill

I'm actually here but don't know where I am ha ha.
No snow on the Wirral but it does look black toward the west.
I wish we could have some snow, my kids want to make snow angels.
Have a good one wherever you are!

Hi All,
No snow in the midlands either, and very little frost last night.
Oh well, back to work....

I'm here too, will be each day until 25th.
The snow in north London/ Hertfordshire was so heavy last night that it took me four hours to do 35 miles - what is wrong with people? They see a few snowflakes and then drive at 2 mph. Numpties.
Hoped the weather would be better today and it is - bright sunshine and clear roads. Woo hoo!
Merry xmas all.

Also got snow in the Lincoln area though luckily all the main roads are clear so no real problems. The airfields blanketed though and driving on it is interesting (wide slippery taxiways).
Have a good Christmas all

Thought it interesting that on news report from basingstoke this morning it showed all the cars stranded by snow and how many 4 wheel drive vehicles there were. Now I understand ref to Chelsea Taxis as where I live we use them to drive up single track roads, through fields etc.

Outside of work I'm a volunteer for my local 4x4 Response team. During the snow in Feb I ended up advising some people how to put their car in 4-wheel drive!

Looks like my earlier moan about no snow has worked. It really came down for about an hour, stopped now though.

Safety Smurf would I do such a thing? The aircraft servicing pan is better for that. Although our department did get told off last year as a number of mysterious snow circles appeared on the pan one winter’s night.
Sean, Martinw – First part of current job title, sad as I am I like Star trek and ex-military.

OOOO that is spooky!!! Omnipresent Mods....you're not reporting back to Mr claus are you to let him know if we have been bad or good???
Some of us are here propping up the desk with Quality Street wrappers waiting for the final buzzer to go before we rush out into the cold....to do battle with the high street. Work almost seems a better option!!!! With so few in - probably safer!!!

Couldn't access the web site earlier, Sean... DNS error apparently, and couldn't resolve it.
Eventually I used another link which got me in. Whether or not that when the error was fixed I do not know.
I am here and will be here tomorrow (unfortunately) as I note that some are off to do their shopping tonight - :-(
